John Fisk is a Senior Managing Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business in New Zealand, where he leads the national practice.

John has more than 30 years of advisory experience in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Teneo as part of the acquisition of PwC’s New Zealand Business Restructuring Services unit, he was the Business Restructuring Services leader at PwC New Zealand. He works with a broad range of clients, from small businesses to large corporates and government entities, across multiple industries.

John is passionate about working alongside businesses, their people and their stakeholders to navigate financial challenges and achieve realistic and pragmatic outcomes. His experience spans short term liquidity issues through to large and complex financial restructurings. When required, he is frequently called upon to manage businesses through formal statutory appointments in a sensitive and considered manner.

John has been involved in a number of New Zealand’s most high profile and complex appointments. Outside of statutory roles, he supports financial institutions through independent business appraisals and works closely with directors and management teams as a trusted adviser, tailoring his approach to suit the specific circumstances of each engagement.

John is a Chartered Accountant Fellow, a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and a Life Member of the Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround Association of New Zealand.
