Joanna Jiang is a Senior Vice President in Teneo’s Greater China Strategy & Communications business, based in Hong Kong.
Joanna brings more than 20 years of experience across financial communications, investor relations, corporate reputation, crisis advisory and public affairs. She began her career as a journalist, a foundation that continues to inform her strategic counsel and deep understanding of media, stakeholders, and narrative shaping.
Most recently, Joanna served as Head of Corporate Communications for Yum China, where she spent six years leading one of the most senior in house corporate communications functions in the region, supporting a highly complex, high profile, publicly listed business. Prior to Yum China, Joanna was a Senior Director at FTI Consulting in Beijing, and earlier held senior roles at APCO Worldwide, advising multinational and Chinese enterprises on reputation, stakeholder engagement and critical issues management.
Joanna offers a rare combination of senior in house corporate communications and public affairs leadership at scale, and deep advisory experience. Commercially minded and internationally oriented, she is particularly experienced in supporting organisations operating across complex, multi-stakeholder and cross-border environments, including the globalisation of Chinese enterprises.
