Jean-Charles Simon

Senior Advisor

Jean-Charles Simon is an economist, data scientist and business leader with more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of finance, public affairs, capital markets, corporate strategy and M&A. He advises senior executives, boards and investors on complex strategic, financial and reputational issues.

Prior to joining Teneo, Jean-Charles served as Chief Executive Officer of Paris Europlace, where he worked with financial institutions, listed companies, investors, regulators and policymakers to strengthen Paris’s position as a leading global financial centre.

Previously, he was Executive Director of Optimind, one of France’s leading actuarial and financial consulting firms, where he contributed to the firm’s leveraged buyout and acquisition strategy ahead of its sale to Accenture in 2023. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at SCOR, Groupama and several of France’s leading business organisations, advising on economic policy, corporate competitiveness, stakeholder engagement and corporate communications.

Jean-Charles is the founder of Stacian, a data science and economic analytics consultancy. A recognised commentator on economic, financial and public policy issues, he has served as a columnist for Les Echos and contributes regularly to leading French media outlets.

He holds degrees from ENSAE Paris, ENSAI and Sciences Po Paris and is a certified mathematics teacher.
