Jason Smith is a Senior Vice President with Teneo’s Strategy & Communications Advisory business segment. Leveraging over 15 years of equity research experience, Jason advises companies on investor communications, corporate strategy, and messaging across a range of stakeholder engagement.

Prior to Teneo, Jason was a Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst for four years at Buckingham Capital Management, where he led the transition of the fund away from a traditional retail focus to a broader consumer-oriented portfolio helping drive higher shareholder returns. In addition to generating original investment ideas, his responsibilities included asset-allocation planning and short- and long-term strategic development for the fund.

Before joining Buckingham Capital Management, Jason spent 12 years as an equity research analyst, including seven years covering the specialty retail sector at Cantor Fitzgerald, Canaccord Genuity and Cowen & Company. His career began at Pearson Education.

Jason holds a B.A. in history and electronic journalism from Hofstra University and is a CFA charterholder.
