Jamila Kanji is a Vice President with Teneo’s Strategy & Communications business, based in Calgary. Her experience spans corporate strategy, issues and crisis management, strategic communications, M&As and investor relations.
Prior to joining Teneo, Jamila was a director at one of Canada’s largest public relations firms, advising clients across a range of sectors. Her work included managing Alberta’s largest credit union merger, supporting a rail company during complex labour negotiations, enhancing the profile of a capital markets firm across Canada, and repositioning a North American company as a leader in the energy transition.
Previously, she held leadership roles at a women-led venture capital firm, a Calgary-based fintech startup, and a national high-stakes public affairs and crisis communications firm.
She holds a Bachelor of Communication from Mount Royal University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo.
