Jake Leslie Melville

Senior Managing Director

Jake Leslie Melville joins Teneo from the Boston Consulting Group where he was a longstanding Senior Partner and where he held a number of leadership positions.

Jake has worked for 30 years in industry and consulting across the energy and industrial goods value chains. He has worked in corporate strategy, operations, operating model and organizational redesign, M&A, restructuring, and technology / digital deployment. He also has significant experience working with clients as they prepare for the opportunities and challenges arising from energy transition. At BCG, he managed two of the firm’s larger global client relationships. Before BCG, he was with Booz Allen where he led the European Oil and Gas Practice. Jake started his career working in the US for Dominion Resources, an East Coast power company.

Jake has served on several boards including as the audit committee chair for the Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc., one of the UK’s most successful investment trusts, and was also an NED of a renewables company with a 100+MW portfolio. He is currently a Trustee of the Wheelyboat Trust, a UK based charity.

Jake was elected a Young Global Leader by the WEF in 2009 and was also awarded the Badge of Honour for his work with the British Red Cross. He has an MBA from Wharton Business School and MA from the University of Edinburgh.
