Gabriel Gonda

Managing Director

Gabe Gonda is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business, based in Toronto. Gabe helps drive new business and provides leadership and client services in areas such as executive positioning, strategic communications, crisis management and activism defense.

Prior to joining Teneo, Gabe held a variety of senior positions at the Globe and Mail and related companies. These included working with the CEO on corporate and business development, as well as on a variety of strategic initiatives, such as serving in a senior leadership role at a software spinoff, Sophi. Gabe spent seven years as a leader in the Globe newsroom and before that worked for more than a decade in editorial positions at the Toronto Star.

Gabe lives in Toronto, where he has sat on a range of non-profit boards and today serves as a director at the Bentway Conservancy and Crow’s Theatre. Gabe studied history and political theory at the University of Toronto, where he also played one season of varsity basketball.
