Florian Haacke

Senior Managing Director

Florian Haacke is a Senior Managing Director in Teneo’s Energy and Infrastructure practice, based in Berlin, Germany.

Throughout his career, Florian has been driven by a deep curiosity about how industries evolve and how technology, capital and strategy come together to create lasting impact. He combines extensive energy market expertise with strategic insight and transaction experience, advising clients on growth strategies, investment opportunities, technology development, funding and commercial and technical diligence.

Florian is particularly passionate about the technologies and value chains that enable the global energy transition and industry. His work focuses on critical metals, materials and components, with particular expertise in solar photovoltaics, battery energy storage, nuclear fusion, fuels and industrial gases. He is motivated by helping innovative businesses navigate complex markets and scale solutions that contribute to a more sustainable and resilient energy system.

For more than two decades, Florian has worked alongside entrepreneurs, investors, corporates and policymakers to shape business models, build companies and foster collaboration across the energy sector. He is recognized for his ability to connect long-term market trends with practical commercial opportunities.

Before joining Teneo, Florian was one of the founding partners of Apricum – The Cleantech Advisory, established in 2008. Earlier in his career, he worked at Arthur D. Little International, advising clients in the Chemicals and Energy practice. At the beginning of his career, he founded and headed an innovative company in the glass, polymer and nanocoating industry.

Florian’s international education reflects the breadth of his perspective. He studied chemical engineering and business administration at the Technical University of Berlin, Dartmouth College in the United States and the United World College of the Atlantic in the United Kingdom, developing a combination of technical understanding, commercial acumen and global outlook that continues to inform his work today.
