David Collins

Managing Director

David Collins is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business, based in Barbados, advising clients across the Eastern Caribbean.

David is a financial advisory leader with 20 years of experience advising corporates, lenders and stakeholders across the Caribbean, UK and US. He has spent the past 11 years in the Caribbean and now focuses on supporting clients across the Eastern Caribbean in navigating complex financial, restructuring and strategic challenges.

He has advised boards and management teams of medium to large organisations, including listed entities in the UK, on liquidity management, cash flow forecasting and contingency planning in both stressed and non-stressed environments. His work is focused on helping clients stabilise performance, evaluate strategic options and implement practical solutions to preserve and enhance value.

Since relocating to the Caribbean, David has led a range of high-profile engagements, including cross-border restructuring and financial advisory matters, stakeholder negotiations and court-appointed mandates. He is a licensed Trustee in Barbados and Saint Vincent and is regularly appointed by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court as an insolvency practitioner on complex cross-border matters. He has acted for companies, financial institutions, regulators and creditor groups across multi-jurisdictional engagements.

In addition to his restructuring work, David has supported targeted due diligence and financial analysis and has recently been involved in M&A activity, including separation planning and forthcoming integration workstreams. Earlier in his career, he gained experience supporting advisory work within the US oil and gas sector.

David is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a qualified Insolvency Practitioner in the UK.
