Darsun Naran is a Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business in New Zealand, based in Wellington.
Darsun has more than 15 years of professional services experience across financial assurance, business restructuring and turnaround engagements in New Zealand and Australia. Prior to joining Teneo as part of the acquisition of PwC’s New Zealand Business Restructuring Services unit, Darsun was a Director in PwC’s Business Recovery Services practice in Wellington and previously held senior roles within KPMG’s Restructuring Services team in Melbourne and Sydney. He began his career in financial assurance with KPMG in Auckland
Darsun specialises in providing commercial and practical advice to directors and senior management facing financial and operational challenges. His experience spans turnaround strategy, operational restructuring, accelerated mergers and acquisitions, interim management mandates, insolvency appointments and independent business reviews. He has led initiatives focused on cash flow improvement, cost reduction, operating model redesign, balance sheet optimisation and debt restructuring. In recognition of his turnaround expertise, he was awarded the Turnaround Management Association of Australia’s Turnaround of the Year Award in 2020.
Darsun holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Science from Victoria University of Wellington. He is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and has been a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association.
