Daniel Walley is a Senior Managing Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business, based in Sydney.
He has more than 25 years of experience in Australia and the UK advising boards, lenders and investors on corporate restructuring, insolvency and turnaround solutions. Prior to joining Teneo following its acquisition of PwC’s Australian Business Restructuring Services unit, Daniel was a Partner at PwC where he focused on insolvency and restructuring advisory, distressed M&A and buy-side advisory for investors acquiring assets out of insolvency processes.
Daniel has extensive experience across industries including construction, manufacturing, mining services, real estate, retail, financial services and aged care. His recent work includes advising a major automotive business on a financial restructuring, acting for the senior lenders to a large consumer electronics retailer facing liquidity issues, acting as receiver of a part complete 110 unit residential development and acting as administrator of a sub-prime vehicle finance business. He has also acted for private credit providers and banks on distressed asset sales and independent business reviews, and advised on multiple residential real estate developments and retail restructurings.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of London. He is a Registered Liquidator and a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA), the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
