Dan O'Neill

Managing Director

Dan O’Neill is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy & Communications business, based in Dublin.

Dan specialises in all aspects of strategic communications and reputation management including communications strategy development, communications function design, strategic media relations, stakeholder engagement, media training and crisis management. He advises the CEOs and the senior leaders of some of Ireland and Europe’s most renowned organisations as well as multinationals based in Ireland.

Dan has served as a spokesperson for Teneo and has contributed to national media in Ireland commenting on topics relevant to the sports business landscape. Dan has also served as a co-producer for the Irish Times business of sport podcast, a monthly podcast featuring leaders, issues and topics from the world of sports business.

Dan has participated in the Teneo Global Leadership Development Programme and has also studied crisis media engagement at The International School of Communication in London. Dan has also studied business strategy, finance, leadership, people management and marketing at the IMI as part of its mini MBA programme. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University College Cork.

Prior to joining Teneo, Dan worked as a sports broadcast journalist with RTÉ Radio, the national broadcaster in Ireland working as both a sports bulletin broadcaster on RTÉ 2FM and a match reporter for Sunday Sport on RTÉ Radio One. Dan also enjoyed spells in the sports departments of local radio stations including Red FM, Clare FM, and i radio as well as Radio Kerry. He also served as a traffic and travelk broadcaster with AA Roadwatch broadcasting on RTÉ Radio in Ireland.
