Prior to joining forces with the Teneo team, Charles spent 34 years with Nike Inc., retiring in January, 2014.
After more than three decades, Charles has developed a deep expertise of the athletic consumer products industry and been instrumental in growing Nike to become one of the world’s biggest brands.
His most recent role, prior to his retirement from Nike, was President of the Nike Brand, a position he shared and held for the past 13 years. In his career, Charles ran the company’s U.S. and European operations and pioneered Nike’s expansion into China, India and Brazil. The company grew from $9.8 billion in global revenues, to in excess of $25 billion during his tenure as Brand President.
Charles holds both a B.S. of marketing degree, as well as an Honorary Doctorate degree from Utah State University.
