Barry Hopkins is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business, based in London.

Barry has 20 years of experience in restructuring and corporate finance, working with public and private companies across a range of industries. He specializes in business planning, cash management, capital raising and M&A, helping organizations navigate complex financial and operational challenges.

Prior to joining Teneo, Barry was a Managing Director at Ankura and previously held roles at THM Partners and Alvarez & Marsal. He began his career in the M&A departments at Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan in London, gaining significant transaction and corporate finance expertise.

Barry has held senior financial and restructuring roles across multiple industries, including as Interim Chief Financial Officer of Venator Materials plc, a global chemicals business. He also supported the financial restructuring of Corestate, a German real estate asset management firm, contributing to business plan development and financial assessment efforts. Additionally, he has advised large-scale businesses in technology, energy, hospitality and commodities on restructuring strategies, including liquidity management, business planning and debt renegotiation.

Barry received an Executive MBA from Columbia University and London Business School and a BSc in Actuarial Mathematics & Statistics from Heriot-Watt University. He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Fellow.
