Teneo’s Financial Advisory Business Appoints James Bennett and Michael Tagg as Senior Managing Directors

Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced the appointment of James Bennett and Michael Tagg as Senior Managing Directors in its Financial Advisory business. Both executives have decades of experience advising clients around complex restructuring and insolvency situations.

James Bennett joins Teneo from Interpath (formerly KPMG’s UK Restructuring business) and focuses on complex, contentious and cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters. He has carried out a number of assignments in the financial services sector and was the first special administrator appointed under The Payment and Electronic Money Institution Insolvency Regulations 2021.

Michael Tagg also joins Teneo from Interpath. With over 25 years of restructuring experience in the financial services sector, he has dealt with complex restructurings across the UK, U.S., European and offshore markets. He focuses on the international insurance and reinsurance markets and previously led Interpath’s Insurance Restructuring practice. Here, he led solvent restructuring and turnaround engagements and took formal insolvency appointments.

“We are delighted to welcome both James and Michael to Teneo as part of our continued growth around the world,” said Daniel Butters, CEO of Teneo’s Financial Advisory business. “They both bring deep experience working across a wide range of complex situations spanning multiple geographies, including offshore, which will be very valuable to our clients as we continue to build out our cross-border advisory capabilities.”

James and Michael will be based in Teneo’s London office. Teneo’s Financial Advisory business now includes over 425 professionals in key markets around the world.
