Speaker Paul Ryan Joins Teneo as a Senior Advisor

Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Speaker Paul Ryan as a Senior Advisor.

Speaker Ryan served as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives from October 2015 to January 2019. He was the youngest Speaker in nearly 150 years. During his tenure, he spearheaded efforts to reform the U.S. tax code for the first time in a generation, rebuild the national defense, expand domestic energy production, combat the opioid epidemic, reform the criminal justice system, and promote economic opportunity.

“We are very pleased to be welcoming Speaker Paul Ryan to Teneo as a Senior Advisor,” said Declan Kelly, Chairman and CEO of Teneo. “Teneo’s clients around the globe are navigating a world of unprecedented geopolitical and public policy challenges and Speaker Ryan is uniquely positioned to help advise them around these issues.”

“I am very pleased to be joining the Teneo team,” said Speaker Paul Ryan. “Teneo advises many of the world’s leading CEOs and companies and I am looking forward to the opportunity to spend time with clients, as well as working closely with Teneo’s teams around the world."

First elected to Congress in 1998 at age 28, Speaker Ryan spent two decades representing the people of Wisconsin’s First Congressional District. Before becoming Speaker, he was chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. Before that, he served as chairman of the House Budget Committee, where he outlined revolutionary blueprints to balance the federal budget and pay off the national debt. In 2012, Speaker Ryan was selected to serve as Governor Mitt Romney’s Vice Presidential nominee.

Speaker Ryan is the author of the book The Way Forward: Renewing the American Idea and serves as a distinguished visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute in the practice of public policy. He also is the founder of the American Idea Foundation – a non-profit that works with individuals, grassroots organizations, and lawmakers to expand economic opportunities through evidence-based policies – a board member of the Fox Corporation, and serves as a professor of the practice at the University of Notre Dame.
