Sharon Hoffman Joins Teneo as a Managing Director
Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Sharon Hoffman as a Managing Director and Senior Communications Coach in its Strategy and Communications business.
Sharon is an award-winning production executive and seasoned communications consultant with more than 25 years of experience in broadcast news, entertainment and new media. Most recently, Sharon was Executive Producer for Tonal, a late-stage tech startup in the connected fitness sector, where she hired and led the creative content production and development team. Prior to her time at Tonal, Sharon served as Executive Producer and show runner for “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “Entertainment Tonight,” where she also helped launch the 24/7 streaming channel “ET Live.”
Sharon spent more than two decades in broadcast journalism. She was Executive Producer of the Saturday and Sunday editions of the “CBS Evening News” and the network’s weekend live special events coverage. She helped relaunch “CBS This Morning” and held senior production roles at ABC News, NBC News and NPR. She has produced hundreds of hours of live breaking news coverage, spanning a range of major events including 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the Sandy Hook shooting, the death of Nelson Mandela, the November 2015 Paris terror attacks, the inauguration of Pope Francis and multiple national political campaigns and elections.
Sharon's work has been honored with numerous awards, including seven Emmys (16 nominations), four DuPont silver batons, three RTNDA/Edward R. Murrow Awards, a UCLA Gerald Loeb Award for Business and Financial Journalism, a Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists and a George Foster Peabody Award.
