
William Edwards
Will specializes in advising clients confronting operational, compliance and risk management challenges, often arising out of governmental investigations. During the course of his career, he has provided strategic counsel to companies in an array of industries, including, most notably, the financial services sector.
Will joined Teneo in connection with its acquisition of Goldin Associates, LLC. Before Goldin, Will was a Senior Attorney in the Market Abuse Unit of the Securities and Exchange Commission. While at the SEC, he worked on numerous investigations relating to, among other things, insider trading, market manipulation, money laundering, misuse of investor funds and improper asset valuations. Several of these investigations were conducted in parallel with other government agencies, including the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Prior to joining the SEC, Will practiced law at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he represented corporations and individuals in regulatory enforcement proceedings, white collar criminal matters and complex securities litigation.
Will received his A.B. from Harvard College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was Notes Chair of the Harvard Law Review.
