Susanne has extensive experience in developing strategic communications programs related to CEO positioning, brand reputation and business operations, as well as crisis preparedness and response.
Prior to joining Teneo, Susanne worked at Burson-Marsteller, where over the past decade, she helped to launch and grow Burson-Marsteller’s Labor and Workforce Relations sub-practice. In that capacity, she counseled clients on how to develop and execute strategic communications programs to help protect their brand reputation and business operations during collective bargaining or corporate campaigns, employee communications strategies, as well as crisis preparedness and response. She has worked with companies and trade associations in the supermarket, consumer products, energy, elevator, hospitality, higher education, newspaper, steel, tire, transportation and textile industries.
From 2007-2010, she worked at the Washington D.C-based Public Affairs Firm, The Harbour Group, where she counseled clients on industrial relations issues, shareholder proxy battles, and foreign investment in the U.S.
Prior to working at Burson-Marsteller, she held a variety of positions in the New York City Mayor’s office, including Director of Public and Government Affairs at the Department of City Planning and the City Planning Commission. Prior to that she was an Assistant Legislative Representative in the Mayor’s Office of City Legislative Affairs.
Susanne received her bachelor’s degree in communications and advertising from Johnson & Wales University.
