Seiji Inada is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business, based in Tokyo. Seiji brings over two decades of experience in international relations, public affairs and strategic advisory to the firm.
Prior to joining Teneo, Seiji served as the Japan Country Representative for Eurasia Group, where he provided strategic counsel to C-suite executives across various sectors. He has also served as a senior advisor to KPMG in Japan in the area of geopolitics and economic security risk management.
Seiji began his career at Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holding roles in the Economic Affairs Bureau and Japan’s Delegation to the European Union. He later served at the Prime Minister’s Office, where he advised on national security and crisis management and coordinated Japan-U.S. efforts during the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear disaster.
Seiji has held leadership positions at PwC Japan, MetLife Japan and the World Economic Forum, specializing in public and corporate affairs. He is a recognized thought leader on geopolitics and economic security and is a frequent speaker on these topics. Since January 2024, Seiji has also served as an advisor to the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai Organizing Committee for its “theme-week: Agenda 2025” initiative.
Seiji is a graduate of Waseda University and holds an MPA from the Catholic University of Leuven. He has served on Japan’s National Security Council in the Prime Minister’s office, as well as on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ International Strategy Working Group.
