Sam runs social media for the digital team at Teneo, working with CEOs and Fortune 100 corporations on social strategy.
Prior to Teneo, Sam built and ran the #1 social media agency in professional tennis. He personally represented Maria Sharapova, Novak Djokovic, Kei Nishikori, Victoria Azarenka, the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix and others managing their 30+ million cumulative social and mobile fans. In this capacity he advised American Express, Porsche A.G., TAG Heuer, Nike, Peugeot, Citizen Watch and additional brands on digital and social engagement around their sponsored athletes. Sam also co-founded and served as Managing Director of Hipolitics—a digital portal fusing politics and pop culture featuring exclusive content from celebrities, athletes and politicians.
His prior work includes four years as a Policy Analyst for Hillary Clinton. Sam was responsible for the Senator’s legislation on voting reform, consumer privacy, and bankruptcy reform and advised the Senator on broadband, consumer finance, voting rights, internet privacy, and tax issues.
Sam was a Senior Policy Analyst at the Center for American Progress where he organized experts across academia, NGOs, military, media and business on policy issues which led to the publication of and he was the managing editor of, A Progressive Blueprint for the 44th President (Simon & Schuster 2009). He also held the position as a Senior Researcher on President Obama’s White House Transition team working directly under its Chairman, John Podesta – former Chief of Staff to Bill Clinton.
