Ranjini leads the strategic partnership between Teneo and Cobbs Allen, a risk management firm providing structured solutions, commercial insurance, employee benefits, and alternative risk financing services.
This partnership, announced in May 2017, provides structured insurance products designed to address a spectrum of the financial, strategic, and operational challenges facing companies and organizations around the world. It will leverage Teneo’s deep strategic advisory and capital markets expertise with Cobb Allen’s over one hundred years of insurance broking knowledge in specialized markets.
Prior to this, Ranjini spent 29 years at AIG. Her most recent job there was as Head of Alternative Risk and Chief Underwriting Officer for AIG’s Multinational and Alternative Risk group, a division of AIG that included five businesses: Global Fronting, Alternative Solutions, Captive Management Services, a Breakthrough Innovation practice and AIG’s Multinational capabilities.
From 1986 to 2004, Ranjini worked in a variety of positions in New York, London and Paris for AIG Global Trade Credit and Political Risk. From 1998 to 2004, she was Vice President – Product Development and managed the development and launch of the division’s online presence. In 1996, she moved to Paris where she was the Regional Manager for Specialty Lines, managing Trade Credit, Political Risk and Crisis Management for Continental Europe. Prior to joining AIG in 1986, Ranjini worked at CIGNA as a Trade Credit Underwriter.
She received a Masters of International Affairs (M.I.A.) in International Banking and Finance from Columbia University and a Bachelors of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from John Cabot International College in Rome, Italy.
Ranjini has been involved with a variety of non-profit organizations and industry groups. She was awarded the 2010 Asian Women In Business (AWIB) Corporate Leadership Award and the 2011 Woman of Distinction Award from the Girl Scouts of Greater New York.
