Vice President

Karl Cheung is a Vice President with Teneo, based in Hong Kong.

Karl brings over a decade of financial and corporate communications experience across a wide range of clients in the Greater China and Asia-Pacific regions, including state-owned enterprises in China and global financial institutions.

Before joining Teneo, Karl worked in the communications function of ESR Cayman, an APAC-focused logistics real estate platform. Prior to this, he was General Manager at De Novo Group, a corporate services firm in Hong Kong where he provided strategic counsel to the boards and senior management of listed companies on transactions, fundraising, initial public offerings, ESG disclosure and other corporate exercises. Karl has also held roles with communications consultancies such as iPR Ogilvy and Hill & Knowlton, where he advised local, mainland Chinese and global financial institutions, professional services firms as well as professional and non-governmental organisations on external stakeholder engagement and media relations.

Karl graduated from Lingnan University with a Bachelor’s in Translation. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
