James Cowen is a Managing Director with Teneo’s People Advisory team in London. He advises on non executive and executive board placements and senior leadership in software/SaaS, IT and broader technology service businesses. James has experience working with tech firms at all stages of their development whether multinational, emerging leader or scaleup. Additionally, he advises clients on transformative technology leadership.

James has more than 20 years of experience in the tech sector. Prior to joining Teneo, he was a leading member of Spencer Stuart’s European TMT practice. Prior to search, James was Managing Director at Accenture, where he led the UK Software and Platforms industry practice.

James has worked throughout Europe, the US, China and Japan. He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.
