Portrait of Harry Van Dyke

Harry van Dyke

Senior Advisor

Harry van Dyke is a Senior Advisor with Teneo. Harry joined Teneo with 25 years of investment banking experience, having completed over $100 billion in M&A transactions involving companies in more than 25 countries. Most of those transactions took place during Harry’s 22 years at Morgan Stanley, where he began his career in the firm’s New York-based Mergers & Acquisitions Department.

Following assignments in New York and London, where he focused on cross-border transactions, Harry established Morgan Stanley’s Latin American M&A effort in the mid-’90s, building and leading a team that developed and executed transactions from Mexico to Argentina.

Harry relocated to Hong Kong in 1997 to develop Morgan Stanley’s Asia Pacific M&A operation, where he built the firm’s business from $20 million in revenue to $125 million and from four professionals to 75. He was responsible for a region that included a dozen countries and stretched from Korea to Australia, and from Taiwan to India.

Harry returned to the U.S. in 2003 to establish an investment banking transaction development group that targeted private equity firms. He developed relationships with over 120 financial sponsor firms, and was named Co- Head of Morgan Stanley’s Financial Sponsors Group for the U.S.

In 2006, Harry was hired away by Bank of America to establish a business development group serving BofA’s entire investment bank. The group combined strategic, financial and market analyses to produce proprietary opportunities for a broad array of the bank’s best clients. Harry also managed Bank of America’s Middle Market M&A and Corporate Divestitures efforts, and served on the Investment Banking Leadership Team.

Harry is a cum laude graduate of Yale University with a B.A. degree in Economics and in Engineering & Applied Science. He also received an M.B.A., with honors, from the Harvard Business School.
