Curtis G. Solsvig III is a Senior Managing Director for Teneo with over 30 years of experience in the turnaround and restructuring industry as both an advisor to many companies and as an interim manager, CEO or CRO, in over a dozen engagements.
Curt has developed deep expertise in rapidly assessing troubled situations, formulating action plans and executing them to preserve and enhance liquidity and enterprise value. This includes revamping operations, cutting costs, making more efficient use of working capital, as well as implementing balance sheet solutions, such as raising new capital, disposition of assets, sale of some or all of the relevant business and restructuring in- or out-of-court. Curt also has also worked on the buy-side as an Operating Partner, rendering him especially sensitive to the needs of entities holding interests in troubled enterprises.
Curt has been CRO or interim COO/CEO for over a dozen companies, including uBiome, Lily, ReachOut Healthcare America, CornerStone Propane, Atari, Precision Valve and PTC Holdings. He has advised numerous others, including Arabella Exploration, Quiksilver, Borders Books, Restoration Hardware, Manischewitz Foods and Ports America. His industry expertise includes retail and apparel, energy, healthcare services, energy, a wide range of manufacturing, home building and wholesale distribution. Curt also has extensive expertise in the fund management business, including portfolio and financial management, fund administration and board-level supervision.
Curt joined Teneo in connection with its acquisition of Goldin Associates, LLC. Before Goldin, Curt was a Managing Director and Operating Partner at Strategic Value Partners, a distressed-debt hedge fund. Earlier in his career, Curt was a Managing Director at AlixPartners and Alvarez & Marsal. He also founded and managed his own restructuring firm, Everett & Solsvig. Curt began his career at The Boston Consulting Group.
Curt graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, and from Harvard Business School with an M.B.A.
