Selected Project Experience

  • Assisted a global bank in closing their local trust administration business. Ben played a critical role in scaling down the business from c 90 employees and 500 clients. This role involved managing the expectations of a demanding local executive, group steering committee, liquidators and internal and external council. He formed and chaired a project working group and drafted a detailed cessation of business plan which was presented to the Regulator and ensured a smooth transition and handover to Liquidation, a process he is now managing.
  • Assisted an offshore investment manager in successfully dealing with an issue surrounding the calculation of a goodwill payment relating to the performance to some legacy stocks in c350 client portfolios. Ben led the one-year engagement which involved managing and working closely with several key stakeholder groups (Data and Analytics Teams, the local board, group board, offshore regulators, ombudsman, complainants, clients and employees) in a time pressured environment successfully delivering the project on time with no reported issues.
  • Ben assisted a local bank in successfully developing their internal transfer pricing model in response to multiple growth acquisitions and changes to regulations. This engagement required working with members of the senior leadership team of the organisation and carefully balancing the conflicting requirements of each business unit to arrive at an effective and sustainable model for the future.
  • Ben has worked on a number reporting accountant engagements for London listed funds, including review of corporate prospectus and FPP for compliance with the relevant listing rules and the drafting working capital reports for listing sponsors. These engagements have involved working as a part of larger teams in order to work efficiently towards sometimes tight and moving timescales.
