Amanda Tait is a Managing Director of the Teneo People Advisory business in Australia. She is currently leading the expansion of the People Advisory practice in the Investor Relations and ESG.
As a former leading strategic communications adviser with a corporate finance background, Amanda works with leading organisations advising them on strategy, structure and finding the best talent at the executive level for their Investor Relations, ESG, Corporate Affairs and Communications functions. She brings a strong track record of solving complex organisational and reputational challenges, together with a clear understanding of what it takes to build a high performance teams and deliver a successful outcome.
Amanda is an experienced leader and practitioner with a career spanning 20 years of working in Australia and internationally across M&A and capital markets communications, media and investor relations, stakeholder management, crisis response communications and reputation management, including around ESG issues. She brings this experience to partner with clients and candidates on executive search and talent management solutions.
Prior to joining Teneo People Advisory, Amanda was a Senior Advisor to FTI Consulting and Head of the Capital Markets Communications team in Australia. During this time Amanda worked closely with boards, senior executives and corporate affairs teams on some of Australia’s most high profile corporate issues, including with two of the big four Australian banks. She also advised on over 50 corporate transactions (in total worth ~A$50bn) in the Australian market, including hostile and contested M&A situations, complex cross-border transactions with national interest implications, IPOs, strategic stake-builds and private equity transactions.
Prior to this, Amanda worked across the UK and Europe as an Associate Partner and Head of Financial Services Practice with global communications consulting firm, Finsbury, and a Manager in the Global Corporate Development and M&A team at Barclays Bank.
