As we continue to grow our operations in Asia-Pacific, we are looking for a high calibre candidate to join our Strategy & Communications team as an Associate in Singapore. This role is primarily to support Teneo’s financial communications clients across a wide range of work. This includes equity narrative development, financial calendar communications, executive profiling, IPOs, restructurings and M&A transactions, crisis management, media relations and ESG, stewardship and governance issues.


  • Plan and advise clients on all areas of financial communications which include transactions and investor relations
  • Display commitment to quality and client satisfaction is a top priority
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of clients’ business, peers and industry
  • Understand key business drivers for current and potential clients and design communication or business strategies/solutions accordingly to best support their objectives
  • Support team members with drafting and development of high-quality content and client deliverables
  • Plan and advise clients on social & digital strategy and tactics
  • Keep well informed and use a broad range of sources to build opinion and ideas
  • Supporting clients on the corporate reputation and strategic communications mandates
  • Drive marketing initiatives which include development of credentials and stakeholder relationships
  • Supporting team on desktop research, competitor analysis, thought leadership articles
  • Contribute to new business lead development and pitches


  • 3 - 5 years related experience in a similar environment within a financial communications agency, or preferably in roles related to investor relations, investment/private banking, capital markets, or the financial media
  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in in Economics, Finance, Business, Law or Politics. Holding a postgraduate degree, CFA or pursuing CFA is an advantage
  • Strong ability to grasp clients’ business objectives and relevant wider industry dynamics to enable drafting of messaging and communications materials
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting, disclosures and the financial calendar
  • A strong understanding and network of local and regional business media
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders such as investors, analysts, financial media
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple stakeholders while maintaining good relationships
  • Have a strong appetite for global news and macroeconomic/finance events and up to speed with current local/regional/international business trends and stories
  • Candidate needs to be confident, agile and proactive
  • Must display a strong work ethic, high standards and commitment to the role and a desire to learn
  • Able to manage time well and prioritise a varied workload
