Description:

As a Social Media Strategist, you will be a key part of Teneo’s Executive Social team, helping create and promote digital platform strategies for our CEO clients. The ideal candidate will be able to design unique social positioning strategies for the world’s top leaders, as well as drive the execution of their day-to-day channels and campaigns. The strategist will also serve as an in-house evangelist on all things digital, including advising our clients about the benefits of using social first approaches to communicate directly with their audiences, drive executive thought leadership across the major online platforms, and engage with stakeholders throughout key moments critical to our CEO’s business.

The candidate should be fluent in owned and earned strategies, and have specific, measurable experience with activating paid digital and social campaigns, as well as proficiencies in social amplification, influencer engagement, community management, crisis response, and digital defense. This position reports directly into the Head of Teneo’s Executive Social practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute plans to build the social profiles of the world’s top CEOs
  • Engage with clients to identify key strategic challenges and address their social and digital needs
  • Work with the Teneo Executive Social team to develop content strategies and construct editorial calendars for our clients
  • Responsible for the internal education of account teams on all aspects of social media, frequently providing feedback on trends and tools that could benefit clients
  • Manage new business strategy and presentation preparation.
  • Periodic creation of social POVs and thought leadership pieces for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Work across all divisions of Teneo to identify and explore opportunities for new types of social and digital engagement
  • Assist with post-campaign reporting efforts outlining key learnings and creating case studies when needed
  • Analyze and evaluate research from diverse qualitative and quantitative sources, especially social media activity and user sentiment

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in social media, community management and digital and/ or executive comms work
  • Excellent graphic and design capabilities to assist with content and presentation creation
  • Some expertise in digital strategy including search, paid social, media partnerships and influencer engagement
  • Demonstrated experience building and executing campaigns across Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, Clubhouse and other emerging social networks and technologies
  • Understanding of the impact of social media across all digital channels (including the ability to discuss the ROI of social media campaigns)
  • An understanding of how social can be used within traditional public relations and issues management
  • Intimate knowledge of digital/online industry tools, key players and trends
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Resourcefulness, team orientation, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proven leadership qualities, a strong work commitment, and high ethical standards
  • Ability to handle multiple demanding assignments simultaneously with the ability to think on your feet
  • Education - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Strong verbal, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • When necessary, the ability to work late nights and/or weekends
