Description:

The HR/People Team intern will have the opportunity to work on myriad of areas within human resources, including but not limited to:

  • Preparing interview materials and supporting the interview process
  • Onboarding new employees, including pre-hiring process, welcome packets and orientation
  • Preparing materials and logistics for professional development programs and other
  • Development and implementation of a new applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Updating information in Namely, our HR system
  • Designing, creating, and curating communications materials for the team
  • Research projects related to HR trends
  • Preparation of headcount and affiliation activity reports
  • Possible ad-hoc projects – the intern is encouraged to initiate their own value-added projects

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrates appropriate written and face-to-face communication techniques when sharing information
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel)
  • Familiarity with Outlook
  • Comfortable learning and navigating technology – while the intern is not expected to have experience with a specific ATS/CRM, they are expected to learn how to manage our ATS
  • Attention to detail and adaptability to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively and productively multi-task
