The Opportunity As we continue to grow our operations in Asia-Pacific, we are looking for a high caliber candidate to join our dynamic and professional Regional Finance team as an Accountant, based in the firms Hong Kong office. As an Accountant, you will play a critical role by ensuring that generated revenues are accurately accounted for. This individual will be tasked with tracking Teneo’s regional revenue streams, management of financial records, and ensuring a healthy financial ecosystem You will support all key markets in Asia Pacific, these include: Hong Kong SAR, Mainland China, Singapore, Japan and Australia. This individual will also support the Regional Finance team and senior management with budgeting and forecasting priorities.   Key Responsibilities As an Accountant within the Regional Finance team at Teneo, your role will include: Regional Finance Support – Reporting into the Finance Manager, Asia Pacific, you will act as a financial guardian. You will meticulously handle the finances of the Teneo, maintaining excellent financial records. You will ensure the wider team and, in particular, the Finance Director, Asia Pacific is made aware of any potential issues APAC Revenue Accounting – You will ultimately be responsible for meticulously maintaining the accuracy completeness of revenue recognition. Other key areas of responsibility include: Work directly with client lead to prepare and send out client invoices; Follow debt collection with clients to ensure on time settlement; Prepare accounting entry for customer receipt and settlement and update Accounts Receivable and Aging Reports; Provide monthly inter-company settlement confirmation with various overseas entities; Regularly update and reconcile Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports and invoices; Prepare month-end closing, monthly reports and balance sheet reconciliations; Assist and support audit and statutory tax filing; and Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and internal guidelines and policies. Collaboration – Work with other Finance colleagues to create optimal financial plans, analyses, and projections for the Company. The Role The role is within a growing and dynamic centralised Insolvency Delivery Team (“IDT”) supporting all Teneo offices on all insolvency assignments.  The role will be within sub-teams with each team dealing with c.50 cases and managing the day to day aspects of all new and existing insolvency cases.  The Financial Advisory Team at Teneo Teneo’s global Financial Advisory business advises corporates, creditors and other financial stakeholders in situations of financial stress and distress. Key Skills & Experience Corporate insolvency experience gained within the restructuring department of a firm or in a specialist insolvency practice, and in particular experience of managing tasks across a case load and using a case management system (e.g. IPS). A good understanding of key statutory requirements through the lifecycle of different corporate insolvency procedures. ‘Qualified by experience’ and/or holding relevant professional qualifications such as ATT, CPI etc. Strong risk awareness, with the knowledge/confidence to escalate risk issues appropriately. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you would be dealing with all kinds of internal and external stakeholders. The Role Join the UK’s market leading Financial Advisory Restructuring Tax team and make a real difference on a range of high profile and dynamic transactions. Our Financial Advisory Restructuring Tax team specialises in providing tax advice on the restructuring of financially distressed businesses.
