Sparky Zivin

Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Teneo Research

Sparky is a Senior Managing Director and the global head of Teneo Research, where his team uses the full suite of approaches from traditional stakeholder research to advanced AI-driven analytics to shape critical strategies for the firm’s clients.

Over the course of his career, Sparky has served as a data-driven advisor to clients that include Boeing, GE, Pfizer, PwC, Kleiner Perkins, Facebook, Google, Walmart, Stanford University, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the US Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to joining Teneo, Sparky was a Partner at the Brunswick Group where, for more than seven years, he co-led their research and strategy team, and before that was a Senior Vice President at Edelman’s in-house research advisory firm for nine years.

A graduate of Kenyon College’s psychology department, Sparky holds advanced degrees from The George Washington University and MIT in data analytics and artificial intelligence. Sparky is a regular speaker at the US Chamber of Commerce and American University, and has spoken at SxSW and HubWeek. Sparky began his career as a behavioral neuroscience fellow at the National Institutes of Health where he wrote about ways the brain uses new information to create lasting memories.
