Portrait of Niall O'Muilleoir

Niall O'Muilleoir

Senior Managing Director & Head of Executive Communications Coaching

A veteran coach, Niall has helped business and political leaders in the Americas and Europe to deliver their vision, ideas, stories, and messages with impact over a 38-year career in strategic communications.

Based in Los Angeles, Niall has built Teneo’s coaching offering in North America since the firm’s foundation in 2011. He has worked with a wide array of clients including CEOs and c-suite leaders from many Fortune 100 companies, preparing them for everything from pre-IPO investor conversations to media interviews, speeches at global forums, and congressional testimony.

As director of communications for the Irish agricultural producers’ lobby over a 10-year period, Niall helped create and lead high-profile policy campaigns to defend and strengthen the EU’s Common Agriculture Policy in Brussels, Paris, and Dublin. He later parlayed his international experience into a career in domestic politics when Prime Minister John Bruton appointed him press secretary and national communications director for the Irish branch of the European Peoples’ Party. He went on to play a leading role for his party in electoral communications strategy at Irish and European levels and was involved in constitutional referendums that included the Northern Ireland peace process.

Niall studied marketing communications at the Dublin Institute of Technology and pursued a master‘s degree in Agricultural Economics at University College, Dublin. He has a working knowledge of French and is fluent in Irish (Gaelic).
