Aurélie Motta-Rivey

Senior Managing Director

A seasoned CEO and advisor to multilateral leaders, Aurelie co-founded Societer, first consulting house in France on sustainable leadership.

She was previously Advisor for Communications and Partnerships to the Director General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay. She began her career as International Press Advisor to Ministers of Europe and Foreign Affairs, before joining the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New York as Press Advisor and Deputy Spokesperson. She then advised the Ministry of Social Affairs on communications strategy, particularly on issues of gender equality and women’s rights. Before joining UNESCO, she was a partner and member of the Executive Committee of the communications strategy consulting firm Tilder. A graduate of Law from Sciences Po Paris, she has been a lecturer at Sciences Po on the International Masters course at the School of Management and Innovation on the subjects of influence strategies and crisis communications. 

Aurélie is personally involved in the promotion of international institutions as a member of the board of the European think-tank EuropaNova and Vice-President of the French Association for the United Nations (AFNU). She contributed to the essay 60 ideas for Emmanuel Macron, published by Débats Publics, in which she advocates for the emergence of a “new generation diplomacy”, and collaborative between the private sector and civil society.
